goodbye grandma kay

my grandma died today. this morning actually. it was not a surprise, as she has been sick for quite a long time. my sister and i went to see her last night and we were told that it would be less than 24 hours. she wasn't conscious, i don't know when she talked last. she had not been drinking or eating much for the last month or so. so it came as no surprise. and yet it's still a hard thought that i no longer have any grandparents living. none of my grandparents will be at my wedding. none of them will see my children. i will never get to tell them about winning my first case, about getting engaged. i won't see her at christmas.

the last few years have been rough on my family, and the interfamily relationship. i wish the family would have made up before grandma passed away. i wish she would have lived a happier life the last few years.

goodbye grandma...

I am so sorry for your loss. I know I can't make the pain go away, but I can let you know others have felt it and survived. Your grandmother lives in you and will live in your children. She WILL see them.
I am sincerely sorry.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss and your family issues. It sounds like things have been difficult. I just wanted to drop in and say how much I appreciate our blog. I am also from IL (north central) and think it is so "neat" to see someone so young crafting such cool things. (I'm 30 and don't have the patience to do what you do, but always look at the pics and go "aw, that's awesome!". Anyway, I hope you can back to your knitting soon - I bet it would be quite a needed comfort!
