The KNITTING!

Oh my gosh, has there been knitting! First, the pictures suck! It is storming so I cannot really help how they came out!
Here are the finished baby items which are going to my aunt's partner's daughter's baby. Yeah, that's confusing. I won't be there for the baby shower so I am mailing them to my mom to send on.

This is the Placket sweater from Last Minute Knitted Gifts, made out of about 3 skeins of Knit One, Crochet Too Cotonade in color 529. The buttons are kind of hard to see, they are rimmed with blue and the inside is an opal-like surface that is almost the color of the sweater but slightly yellower.

The hat is made up kind of like the hat from SNB the umbilical cord hat. I did the border to match the sweater.

The bear is a bubby bear from Knitty. I was pretty unhappy with how the bubby bear was coming out, I wasn't even going to finish it. I had done all of it but the legs, so I figured I would just finish it. It's ok. Kinda wonky. But looking like its handmade is ok, right? Ehh it's still getting sent with the rest of the stuff.

The texture of this yarn is kinda weird to work with, kinda wavy, so the items do not come out looking all that neat. The stitches end up looking uneven. I think after blocking it was ok. The color of the yarn is a very pale green which I really like. All together I think I used about 4 skeins of yarn for everything.

I have been slow on saying I have received my needle exchange stuff. It was a bad week, busy and I was feeling very sick. It was a blah week. Here's what I received from my pal River! Audi needles and some of those knitting note cards! Thanks River!

One last thing before I get back to the knitting I was doing before I started this baby stuff, have you seen this new pattern from Zephyr? Holy hotness! Wow I like it!
