This is why I don't take pics of WIP...

A warning: The pictures below are extremely boring. These pictures are a representation of the reason that simple knits should not be photographed while still being worked upon.

Example 1: Baby Blanket of Boredom.
A simple garter stitch blanket that is going to an unknown recipient at this point in time. Which is good because I don't have a deadline, which is bad because it means I may never force myself to finish this thing. It is deliciously soft.

Example 2: Top Down Doledrums.

A simple topdown raglan. Made out of a slightly itchy yarn on size 5 needles that is moving slooow. It would probably be mostly done if it was not for Example 3. Getting pretty boring right about now. Do you really think it'll need sleeves?

Example 3: Child's Placket-Neck Pullover from Last Minute Knitted Gifts (corrections online! very important!)

This is possibly for a baby shower on the 18th of March. So it's getting precedence over my other works. It's going pretty fast though. More on this when it is completed.

In other news...This weekend was a spring cleaning like weekend. The boy and I spent Sunday cleaning the entire apartment. I say this like the place is huge! We live in a little one bedroom apartment that is exploding with yarn. Did you ever notice when you get into a cleaning groove that all of a sudden you notice that everything is dirty. Seriously, do you know how much dust was on the top of my refridgerator? This reminds me of a story when I was in my teens, at a friend's house, the friend threw a party while the parents were out of town. The friend was doing drugs of the psychedelic type. We were sitting on the kitchen floor, friend was freaking out about parents finding out people had been over. All of a sudden the friend exclaimed "Oh my god! Look at how dirty it is under the refridgerator!" I had to stop friend from cleaning it, trying to reason that if parents came home to find strange parts of the house sparkling clean it would be highly suspicious. Funny at the time..

I love to read. I have a ton of books and this weekend I got a few more. I am not quite at the Chappysmom level, but I do have a growing collection of books. I cannot wait to have my own home and have a little library. Its a happy little thought of the future. My recent acquisitions are Holes by Louis Sachar, Breakfast at Tiffany's and In cold Blood by Truman Capote. I cannot wait to read them, but first I need to finish the book I am currently reading Douglas Adams' Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

This weekend the boy and I also went to the Botanical Center. I have some pics from that that I might put up later, if I can find the time..

Now I got to get back to the baby sweater before I go to class again!
