saturday morning at the daisy house...

I completely need to update my SP 6 questionnaire thing-a-ma-bobber, I came across some of my favorite quotations that made me realize I should really add Calvin & Hobbes to my favorite animated characters...For example:

"You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocketship underpants don't help."

"What's the point of wearing your lucky rocketship underpants if nobody ever asks to see them?"

"Since September it's just gotten colder and colder. There's less daylight now, I've noticed too. This can only mean one thing - the sun is going out. In a few more months the Earth will be a dark and lifeless ball of ice. Dad says the sun isnt going out. He says its colder because the earth's orbit is taking us farther from the sun. He says winter will be here soon. Isn't it sad how some people's grip on their lives is so precarious that they'll embrace any preposterous delusion rather than face an occasional bleak truth?"

"I think we dream so we don't have to be apart so long. If we're in each others dreams, we can be together all the time."

(I do not guarantee the accuracy of any of these...)

THANK YOU!! You are so awesome. You don't know how much your gift meant to me. It's been a hard week of teaching- with little biters, hair snatchers, etc. That box brought the biggest smile. Thank you. I wish you many many happy returns! You are awesome

YAY! I love Calvin and Hobbes too, used to collect the books, come to think of it... I'm not really sure what happened to all of those books, hmmmmm. One of my very favorites was when Calvin burped at the dinner table and his mom asked "what do you say?" and he said "must be a barge comin' through!" and then she said "Calvin!" and he said "felt better comin' up than it did goin' down!" then she says in a really stern tone "three strike and you're out!"... then of course he says nervously "scuse me" I'm not sure why exactly, that just always cracked me up!
